Diving around Phuket

1/2 Trips with Longtailboot.

For those who don't want to be away the whole day or longer there is a lovely dive area around Kamala. \
This includes Kamala Bay, Kalim Bay, Moonlight Bay, Kho Waeo and a Tin Mine wreck an old excavator from
the tin mining companies. There are up to 10 different possible combinations and you will find Anemone fields, table
corals, turtles, stingrays and lot's more.
For beginners or those who would like to brush up their dive skills our "house reef"
the Kamala-Reef presents a great opportunity.

Day Trips

Of course all other classic dive destinations like Shark Point, the Anemone Reef, Koh Dok Mai, Phi Phi Islands,
Racha Yai and Noi and the Similian Islands will be on the list!
Shark Point

This is Phukets best known dive area, located in the Marine Park. A dive place with an unbelievable variety of hard and soft corals species, a gigantic wealth of fish and of course the home of Leopard and Ammen sharks.

Anemone Reef

The Anemone Reef is located close to Shark-Point and got it's name because of the countless Anemone settled
reefs which reach up to within a few meters of the water's surface.

King Cruiser

The wreck of the King Cruiser is an 85 meter long Catamaran which served as a passenger ferry and sank on the 4th of May, 1997.
After running aground on the Anemone reef it sank to 30 meters and the upper deck now sits 12 meters below the surface.
The different decks and the open corridors make it ideal for a wreck dive. Over time the King Cruiser has become the home
of numerous kinds of fish. Often you can see countless schools of Barracudas and Red Fire Fishes.

Koh Dok Mai

An island which rises up out of the water and offers a steep wall down to 30 meters.
With a bit of luck and a good eye you can find seahorses
Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands are one of the most beautiful island groups in the world and the breathtaking scenery will make a "diver's heart" beat faster. The surrounding area with it's many dreamlike rock and coral formations is simply overwhelming. Special areas are Koh Bida Nai and Koh Bida Nok. Koh Bida Nok is known for it's Leopard sharks, seahorses and terrific steep wall dives.

Phi Phi Islands

Similan Islands

Around 90 km away from Kamala is the Similan Island group which consists of 9 different islands. The Similan Island National Park
(a national park since 1982) runs north to south.
The islands themselves are low granite rock formations thick with tropic vegetation. Here you can find crab eating monkeys, squirrels,
bats and many tropical birds. But the picturesque and often lonely beaches are not the only attraction. Many truly amazing things lie beneath
the water's surface! Ravines, rock combs, caves and passages create an amazing impression. Fantasy-Reef, Christmas Tree Point
and Bird Rock promise breathtaking drift- and deep dives where you can often watch Manta rays, Reef sharks, Napoleon fish
and other giants of the sea.
